I sell muzle brakes for the mosin m91/30 rifle.E bay does not allow any pictures of guns on there site so I opened one on godaddy.Idid not know pay pal was owned by ebay and used it on my private web site.Guess you know what happend next.Even though my ebay standing was perfect and was allowed to sell the brakes on ebay, pay pal has permently limited my account and is holding $1000 dollars that was completly made from ebay.Welcome to the new world order.Do I have any recourse?Thanks Jim

paypal limited my account. i have already done a few transactions, no problem. they wanted me to provide invoices, from suppliers, or whatever. the items i was selling were given to me. so i dont have anything. they also wanted tracking number for one of the items. they should have that. when i spoke to a lady she wanted tracking numbers for the past 2 transactions i did like a month ago. i printed the shipping labels from paypal and the customers already recieved their items. but on paypal it doesnt have them listed. it just wants the one from recent. so if i provide them tracking information on that will they release my account? or if i refund the money will they release my account. please help me with any info you can. thanks, steve

PayPal “suspended” my account (for no reason that I can think of) and requested verification of my ID. I faxed them copies of: my passport, my driver’s license, my telephone bill (with my name and address on it), my car registration form, my check book (belonging to an account already verified by them), and a Google Adsense check (which happened to have arrived in the mail that morning). All these items had my name, address and other identifying details on them.
The following day I logged in to my PayPal account and there was a message saying that my account had been suspended for 180 days because I had (quote): “failed to provide adequate ID”. The items I’d faxed them were listed on the page, so they definitely received them.
Six months and a couple of weeks later my account still hadn’t been unfrozen. I had to ring them a number of times and hassle them (and provide them with even more ID), before they agreed to release the money in my account (it was a little less than $1,000, but it was money I badly needed at the time they froze it).
Dealing with them was an absolute nightmare.

My account got limited. It still shows ssn “Verification in progress” since five days. Plz anybody can help on how to remove these limitations.

This didn’t help me one bit. I’m still stuck with this limitation.
It all started when I was making random deposits, and I didn’t bother giving my bank a call (since I have a stuttering problem, I don’t call strangers), but after so many incorrect amounts, my account was put under a restrictionand got this message:
“We noticed some unusual activity in the bank account linked to your PayPal account.”
Under the “Begin a limitation review”, the required response is “Complete Processing ACH Transaction”, yet there is no resolve button
I’ve tried going to the Community Forum, but it won’t login for me. I’m in a spiral right now. I’ve just won an old Game Boy game and I can’t pay for it. Someone help me.

Innocent sellers are not the only ones with problems. My new PP account was limited before I could even use it. Best guess is this was because I had opened and closed an account linked to the same credit card in my business’s name just before opening a new personal account. This and set off some automatic alarm.

Now, the card is a debit card has been verified, so they know I have access to the account. Have sent a credit card statement in response to PP request. I have a seller waiting on me to sort this out and they have run out of patience.
